Hale Hokuala Kauai, a lifestyle resort on the Garden Island, is slated to debut this October.

Marking the arrival of Curio Collection by Hilton in Hawaii, the property is situated amid a lush landscape with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, Nāwiliwili Bay, and the gently sculpted slopes of Hāʻupu Mountain.

Hawaiian bungalow architecture

Architecture by Hart Howerton, in collaboration with AHL, draws inspiration from the forms and lānais of traditional Hawaiian-style bungalows. Guided by natural light and a connection to the landscape, the design is expressed through open-air spaces and pathways that weave through mature monkeypod trees, banyan trees, and vibrant local flora. The resort’s name, meaning House of the Rising Star, reflects this integration with the natural environment.

Nature-inspired guestrooms

Designed by Looney & Associates, the resort’s interiors reflect Kauai’s architectural heritage and natural surroundings.

The property features 210 guestrooms, including 23 suites, each boasting spacious private balconies that bring in natural light and trade-wind breezes. A nature-inspired color palette echoes tones of sand, greenery, sky, and water, paired with natural textures.

Spa-inspired bathrooms serve as a serene retreat, equipped with either walk-in showers or deep soaking tubs, creating a relaxed, residential-style stay.

Resort amenities at Hale Hokuala Kauai

The public spaces and ongoing programming continue the resort’s homage to the island. Guests will have access to a signature restaurant merging Portuguese and Hawaiian culinary influences, alongside an expansive outdoor pool accompanied by a dedicated pool bar.

The property will also house a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, and approximately 13,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space.

Serving as a neighborhood retreat within the broader Hokuala Resort community, Hale Hokuala Kauai also offers experiences that highlight the local ecosystem including direct access to the Ocean Course at Hokuala, miles of scenic walking and biking paths, and the Farm at Hokuala, an agricultural initiative that supports the preservation of Kauai’s native canoe plants.
