Northern Central Debuts in Bangalore

New Delhi-based architecture and interiors studio Ravish Mehra Deepak Kalra (RMDK) has completed its design for Northern Central, a new eatery in Bangalore, India. The urban retreat overlooks nearby Kaikondrahalli Lake, complementing the venue’s nature-inspired identity.

Crafted with free-flowing, open spaces, the restaurant evokes a retro-chic vibe. RMDK conceived the design as a train journey through vast expanses of lush landscapes perpetuated with distinctive, scintillating elements. The material palette comprises wooden floors and chic, patterned tiles—both of which intermingle alongside stone-colored glass and vintage signage beneath a white tensile roof structure. A living green wall allows the design to naturally blur the lines between indoors and out while also establishing a soothing backdrop for patrons.
