ADD Inc Miami has completed its redesign of the 5,000-square-foot ballroom at Shelborne South Beach, evoking the hotel’s Miami modern and Art Deco style. Lead architect and designer Jonathan Cardello captures the Shelborne’s diamond façade with custom-designed carpeting with diamond patterns and outlines of abstract floral motifs and silver-toned ceilings with acoustic panels shaped in a similar fashion. Factors of light and dark are at play, where walls and bars finished in white Carrara marble are set against a backdrop of charcoal gray.
