Interior architecture and design firm Fettle has unveiled Bar Issi, a vivid venue nestled within Thompson Palm Springs in California.
This marks the firm’s fourth collaboration with hospitality group Boujis Group following Los Angeles restaurants Olivetta and Chez Mia.

Drawing inspiration from 1970s Mediterranean coastal glamour, Fettle infused the space with saturated hues, whimsical details, and a dose of nostalgia while keeping sustainability front and center.
The restaurant, lounge, and terrace spaces are anchored around a central bar, which features a backlit top crafted by repurposed yogurt pots that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill.
Recycled insel is inlaid into the bar’s surface, also serving as the material for the vacuum-formed domes that bejewel the bar’s face. The bar is designed as a luminous focal point that is visible from the hotel’s lobby, South Palm Canyon Drive, and beyond.
The surrounding dining room and terrace embrace a layered, sensory aesthetic, thanks to dancing crocodile wallpaper, gold mohair ceiling coffers, and handblown glass chandeliers that work in concert to create a space that’s unapologetically bold.
Banquettes in recycled patterned textiles curve along mismatched timber flooring, while outdoors, a quirky broken-tile mosaic floor frames panoramic views of the Palm Springs mountains.
