In March, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, A Belmond Train will join the portfolio.

L’Observatoire by artist JR marks the train’s first carriage to be designed by an artist, and is its most exclusive and spacious accommodation type, encompassing an entire carriage. The interiors flow through several micro-environments, from the bedroom that features a free-standing bathtub, a bathroom, lounge with a daybed, library, and hidden Tea Room with oculus-shaped skylights.

This July, Belmond will launch the first luxury sleeper train in England and Wales: Britannic Explorer, A Belmond Train, which will offer three- or six-night journeys with a selection of three routes through the natural landscapes of Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales.

The train, crafted in England with interiors by Albion Nord, will include 18 cabins (15 suites and three grand suites), a wellness suite, two restaurant cars, and a bar located in the Observation Car.

This year will also see the grand reopening of Portofino’s Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, and the unveiling of Belmond’s first-of-its-kind private villa, Villa Beatrice, a majestic summer residence with awe-inspiring views.

Nestled on a tranquil and verdant hillside, Splendido will celebrate its elegant renaissance in June following a multi-year renovation by designer Martin Brudnizki. The revamp of this former 16th-century monastery captures the spirit of local craftsmanship and will feature newly refreshed rooms and suites, a redesigned cocktail bar, and a Dior Spa.

Portofino will welcome the opening of Villa Beatrice the following month.

Acquired by Belmond in 2021, the three-story palazzo—also redesigned by Martin Brudnizki—has been restored with modern sophistication. The secluded residence, once known as Castello Odero, will span five suites and offer sea access, a secret subtropical marine garden, and a plunge pool, as well as access to all services at the nearby Splendido.
