One&Only Palmilla, a Los Cabos retreat perched above the Sea of Cortez, has introduced Palmilla Social Club. The new concept blends the spirit of a private members club with the openness and cultural vibrancy of a community gathering place.
At a moment when private clubs are becoming even more exclusive, Palmilla takes a countercurrent approach, inviting residents, members, guests, and travelers to connect through food, culture, and shared experiences.
The design of One&Only Palmilla’s social club
Set in a space redesigned by Barcelona-based Astet Studio, the interiors celebrate Baja’s natural beauty through a fresh coastal design. Sun-washed palettes, handcrafted details, and organic textures add layers to hand-plastered walls, Cantera Pachucha stone, and artisanal tilework. A leaf-inspired ceiling mural by a local artist anchors the space with a nod to the region’s landscape.
At the center of Palmilla Social Club is Lucille’s, a restaurant and bar that highlights Baja’s culinary bounty through shareable dishes and locally sourced ingredients. Next door, Lucille’s Café functions as an all-day neighborhood hub serving coffee and casual bites.
As the sun sets, Sala 56 comes alive. Drawing inspiration from Palmilla’s midcentury golden age, the bar brings vintage playlists, signature martinis, and Baja flair to evenings overlooking the fairway and shimmering ocean horizon.
Programming at Palmilla Social Club
Members and guests can take part in pro-led golf clinics, wellness workshops, art collaborations, and cultural gatherings. Weekend markets under the Crafted in Baja banner showcase local makers, while book clubs, guided sunrise meditations, game day brunches, spirits tastings, and music-forward socials round out the club’s dynamic roster.
Palmilla Social Club also enhances the experience of the Palmilla Golf Club, home to a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed course. Members and resort guests enjoy exclusive access to the Mountain and Arroyo courses, with the dramatic Ocean Course open to all.
