Architect and designer Bill Rooney has passed away, following a battle with cancer and heart disease.
The founder of New York- and New Jersey-based Bill Rooney Studio, Rooney’s project portfolio included luxury hotels, like the Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans, Cadillac Hotel Miami, Four Seasons Hotel Boston, and Peninsula Hotel Chicago, which won international and Gold Key Awards.
Rooney will be remembered forever for his talent, his amazing accomplishments, his smiling face and infectious laugh, his patience and humor, and his love and admiration for his husband Kenneth.
Born in New York, Rooney studied architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and Rome, Italy.
Donations to the American Heart Association are requested to honor his passion for design and life.
