Pantone has announced PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, a gentle peach sitting between pink and orange, as the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year.
Emanating a warm and inviting aura, Peach Fuzz introduces a fresh new take on softness. With its subtle sensuality and tenderness, the romantic peach shade emerges as a gentle reminder of our collective yearning for connection, community, and care.
“A cozy peach hue softly nestled between pink and orange, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz brings [a sense of] belonging, recalibration, and nurturing,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Drawing comfort from PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, we can find peace from within. An idea as much as a feeling, [the color] awakens our senses to the comforting presence of tactility and cocooned warmth.”
The introduction of PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz also coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Pantone Color of the Year program. First introduced by the Pantone Color Institute in 1999 with PANTONE 15-4020 Cerulean Blue, the program captures the human spirit, serving as an expression of the ever-evolving moods and attitudes of the consumer. Over the years, it has grown into a globally recognized cultural symbol that reflects the nuances of our shared culture through the language of color.
“In the spirit of PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, we reflect back on the last 25 years of the Pantone Color of the Year program and are grateful to provide an avenue where designers and color enthusiasts all over the world can engage in a conversation about color, be inspired by color, and showcase their creativity within their communities,” adds Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute. “We look forward to continuing this for many more years to come.”
