V Starr, the West Palm Beach-based design firm founded by Venus Williams in 2002, has announced promotions and new appointments to its leadership team.
Jennifer Phillips and Gaby Fiallos have been added to the practice’s senior leadership team, which also includes principal Sonya Haffey and design director Holly Nixon, and Gracie Huden has been promoted from junior designer.
“We are proud of our growing team of diverse talent and backgrounds,” says Haffey. “Our continued growth and fortified team position us for reaching the next objectives in V Starr’s development.”
Phillips relocated from Las Vegas to join the team as senior project manager and brings more than 25 years of experience spanning conceptual design, full building implementation, and interior design administration and field services in projects ranging from multibillion-dollar hotel and casino resorts to high-rise residential and commercial office buildings.
Fiallos has joined the team as senior designer with an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a diverse range of experience that includes a three-month collaboration with Delta Airlines, where she gained researched and developed creative concepts with an interdisciplinary team. Fiallos’ interior design career began in her hometown of Quito, Ecuador, working in the luxury residential market and quickly expanded to the commercial sector.
Huden, who joined V Starr in 2020, has been promoted to interior designer. A recent graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design, Huden’s experience includes a residential design background in her hometown of Baton Rouge.
