Canopy by Hilton Deer Valley has opened in Park City, marking the first Canopy Hotels property in Utah. Developed by Extell Development Company, the 180-room lifestyle hotel is located at the base of Deer Valley Resort’s East Village expansion and is among the first hotels to open within the new development.
A regionally rooted design
Designed by DLR Group | BraytonHughes, the interiors offer a contemporary take on the traditional mountain lodge, drawing inspiration from Park City’s mining history and the natural character of Deer Valley. Industrial materials, warm wood finishes, and layered textures nod to the region’s past, while artwork and furnishings reflect the area’s outdoor heritage.
Public spaces are built for gathering, whether over coffee in the lobby, around the fireplace, or after a day on the mountain. Outside, locally sourced stone pairs with thermally modified wood, a combination that ties the building to its surroundings.
Guestrooms with mountain-inspired details
The hotel’s 180 guestrooms incorporate natural materials and custom furnishings that echo the local landscape while preserving the residential feel of the Canopy brand. Signature headboards reference performance outdoor gear, and custom rugs echo the patterns of ski tracks across fresh snow. Large windows, meanwhile, frame views of Deer Valley Resort and the Jordanelle Reservoir, filling rooms with natural light.
Flexible storage for outdoor equipment and comfortable spaces to unwind round out the amenities, supporting guests whether they’re returning from the slopes or exploring Park City.

Dining concepts at Canopy Deer Valley
Canopy by Hilton Deer Valley introduces four original dining concepts led by chef Scott Rackliff, whose résumé includes stints at Daniel Humm’s Eleven Madison Park and Daniel Boulud’s Dinex Group.
Tavolona serves as the hotel’s signature Italian trattoria, centered on the tradition of gathering around the table. Next door, Fornetto is an energetic lounge that channels the convivial spirit of an Italian clubhouse and neighborhood bar. Mountain Provisions puts a mountain spin on the neighborhood café, reimagining it as an elevated general store.
Crowning the hotel is Alpine Attic, a rooftop lounge that takes cues from the American West and European Alps. Sweeping mountain views, elevated comfort food, and seasonal programming set the scene for guests and locals to gather from day to night.
