Chinese restaurant concept Mott 32 has celebrated its North American debut at the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas with a design from London- and Hong Kong-based practice Joyce Wang Studio.
Launched by restaurant group Maximal Concepts, the eatery draws its name from the New York address of Manhattan’s first Chinese grocery, which first opened in 1851 as the seed that would grow into Chinatown. Expanding on the design of Mott 32 locations in Hong Kong and Vancouver, the firm infused the space with a New York industrial aesthetic and classic Chinese elements. Nods to Sin City include dining tables crafted from vintage roulette wheels and chandeliers accented with feather boas that establish a playful sense of place.
