The French bistro was late restaurant architect Osvaldo Maiozzi's final project

A chic new neighborhood bistro has debuted in the Hollywood Media District of Los Angeles. Home to 60 indoor seats and 40 outdoor seats, Gigi’s aims to reinterpret quintessential French themes through a California lens, which is reflected in both the cuisine and the design. Designer Andrew Cosbie of Wilton Hemet partnered with late restaurant architect Osvaldo Maiozzi on the concept, which was the talent’s final project before his death in May 2020. A cosmopolitan vibe permeates Gigi’s, which is anchored by an 18-seat, U-shaped bar that promotes a convivial atmosphere. Marble flooring imported from France spans the eatery along with a whimsical handpainted mural by locally based artist Andie Dinkin that wraps the eatery’s internal walls. Vintage-style Italian light fixtures complement deep green mohair booths and white tablecloths as well.
