Real estate investment trust Hersha Hospitality has announced that the Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club will debut this spring in Miami Beach following a multimillion-dollar refresh from New York-based design firm Bill Rooney Studio. Slated to join Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the historic oceanfront property was first constructed in 1940 by Art Deco architect Roy France.
The lobby will serve as the nucleus of the hotel, with original elements such as terrazzo floors and a wraparound mezzanine balcony. Just beyond the hotel lobby, guests will find the lobby bar and Riviera, a flexible public meeting space, leading to a grand terrace overlooking the pooldeck. A variety of indoor-outdoor meeting spaces will be included, such as a stylish boardroom and a poolside ballroom. A new beachside bungalow restaurant and bar area will be featured along with an intimate, locally sourced trattoria as well.
The hotel will be home to 357 guestrooms spread across three distinct buildings. Mirroring the façade, the Art Deco-inspired accommodations will boast radiant white stone floors, ambient lighting, and subtle gold and smoky blue accents. In addition, the hotel’s signature Cadillac suite faces the Atlantic Ocean with an expansive 1,100 square foot terrace.
