Hilton has welcomed its 100th Latin American hotel with the arrival of the Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana. The 545-room beachfront property is also Hilton’s second in the city.
The structure that houses the Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana was first constructed in 1975, and received an extensive overhaul in 2011. Amenities include a full-service spa and two pools, one of which offers 360-degree views of Rio’s landmarks, including Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, and Copacabana Beach. Among the hotel’s F&B options are two restaurants and three bars, while 36 flexible spaces comprise meeting and event offerings.
Hilton now oversees roughly 17,000 guestrooms across nine brands in the Latin American market, while also boasting a pipeline of more than 70 projects in the region. The company plans to launch nearly 20 properties in the market in 2017.
