In the verdant heart of California’s wine country, off-grid retreat Huttopia Wine Country has debuted with a stunning design that balances luxury with eco-consciousness. The new glamping destination was brought to fruition by the family-owned French company, Huttopia, known for their ready-to-camp properties across Europe and North America.
The design of Huttopia Wine Country—situated less than two hours from San Francisco and Sacramento—seamlessly integrates sustainable living with indulgent comfort. Housed on the expansive 4,300-acre Six Sigma Ranch and Winery, the property is the first Huttopia camp to be fully off-grid, powered entirely by solar energy.
“When we started our partnership Six Sigma Ranch and Winery, it felt like a natural fit for us given our shared ethos as family-run businesses with a focus on sustainability,” says Margaux Bossanne, Huttopia’s North American brand manager. “To establish Huttopia’s presence in a location as pristine as this will afford our guests a familiar experience in a new and desirable location, and we’re also thrilled to be able to offer visitors to Six Sigma low-impact lodging to rest their heads at the end of the day.”
The camp features a collection of 63 solar-powered wood and canvas tents, each available in three different configurations, tailored to cater to groups ranging from two to five guests. True to its eco-conscious ethos, the property provides guests with uninterrupted access to Six Sigma’s sprawling hiking and mountain biking trails, wine tastings, and vineyard tours.
Guests are also treated to panoramic views of the region’s vineyard hills and a Mediterranean-like climate with warm, sunny, dry days and cool nights. The setting is further enhanced by the site’s amenities, including a central lodge, a kids’ playground, a camp store, and a custom-fitted Airstream food truck that offers fresh-made meals and an selection of wines from both France and Six Sigma.
