The former Essence Hoi An Hotel and Spa has returned to Quång Nam, Vietnam as the La Siesta Resort and Spa Hoi An following a major expansion, refresh, and rebranding. The revamped property now boasts a new East Wing designed by Elegance Hospitality Group’s managing director Do Van Dan. The upscale 37-room annex is home to a spa, saltwater pool, and elegant, poolside dining concept Temple.
The overhauled property is punctuated with specially commissioned, handcrafted teak furniture as well as polished wood and patterned tiled flooring evocative of Old World charms. Guestrooms and suites are housed within three-story structures that surround an extensive saltwater swimming pool and are crafted to harmonize with the traditional architecture of Hoi An. An onsite Confucian temple dating back to the 1400s further anchors the resort in the heritage of the setting.
The design of the new wing complements the existing West Wing, which features colonial-style low-rise architecture and the lauded Asian concept Red Bean. The annex accommodates a variety of luxurious guestroom configurations, including poolside suites with deep wooden bathtubs and private Swedish saunas, as well as duplex suites appointed with clawfoot bathtubs and expansive balconies. Spanning nearly 820 square feet, premium terrace suites also feature private Jacuzzis.
