Rosewood Doha has officially debuted a hotel and residences in Lusail, a waterfront district in Qatar.
The architecture, led by Qatari architect Ibrahim Jaidah of Arab Engineering Bureau, draws inspiration from the organic forms of coral reefs and the fluid patterns of traditional pearl diving. The building’s undulating façade evokes the sea’s quiet motion, while natural textures and warm palettes reflect the desert’s shifting light.
“This is where the concept of the coral reef came into play, to inspire the architectural ‘skin’ of the Rosewood building,” Jaidah notes. “The location and the sea are deeply rooted in our heritage in this part of the world and incorporating that narrative into the design was both meaningful and rewarding.”
Across 155 guestrooms and suites, 162 branded apartments, and 276 residences, Rosewood Doha exudes a sense of place. Light dances across curved walls and textural surfaces. Materials recall coastal winds and arid landscapes. Local artworks—commissioned in collaboration with Qatari artists—appear throughout public spaces and private rooms, telling stories of memory, identity, and belonging.
Culinary experiences
The property’s dining offerings continue the narrative of layered identity and global influence. Mila, a 24-hour Levantine brasserie, reimagines regional comfort food with elegant restraint. Asaya Kitchen serves wellness-forward Mediterranean fare made from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. At Koo Madame, inspired by 1920s Shanghai and the legacy of Madame Wellington Koo, bold Chinese flavors meet theatrical flourishes.
The story continues at Stoke & Stoker, a spirited bar inspired by the golden age of travel; Sikar, a plush cigar lounge designed for lingering; and the Butterfly Room, a luminous setting for afternoon teas and refined evening gatherings.
Wellness at Rosewood Doha
At the heart of Rosewood Doha is Asaya, the brand’s pioneering social wellness concept. Here, wellness is reframed as an immersive journey, blending ancient rituals with modern modalities including hydrotherapy, sound healing, biohacking, and movement practices.
For those seeking respite and quiet luxury, the Manor Club offers a refined private lounge experience that is accessible to select suite guests and members. This space is designed with intimate nooks, soft textures, and tailored service.
Gathering spaces
Rosewood Doha also serves as a venue for celebration and connection, with 3,477 square meters of event space including a grand Ballroom, a Bridal House, and an Events Studio, where hosts can curate every design detail, from table linens to floral compositions.
The Pavilion—a residential-style venue with a show kitchen and private salons—is ideal for elevated gatherings, while The Majlis honors the traditions of Qatari hospitality through a modern lens.
