Dallas-based Studio 11 Design has completed a guestroom renovation at the new Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ Le Méridien in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The former Canterbury Hotel has undergone a $10 million renovation under its new Le Méridien flag. Studio 11 Design redesigned several of the spaces, including the guestrooms and suites, corridors, and meeting spaces, creating a crisp, modern feel tailored to the historic building.
The firm was influenced by the hotel’s surroundings. The feature wallcovering at the headboard wall was specifically developed for the project and is an interpretation of a bird’s eye view of Indianapolis, while the custom carpet design drew inspiration from a road map of the city, and several textiles found in guestrooms were created to reflect Indianapolis’ spirit.
