The HD/JHGI fourth annual Radical Innovation in Hospitality competition is accepting entries now through April 1, 2010. The grand prize of $10,000 will be presented at 2010 Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (HD Expo) on May 19, 2010, in Las Vegas.
Traditionally held during Hospitality Design Boutique Exposition & Conference in Miami Beach, the design competition takes center stage at HD Expo at the Venetian Conference Center/Sands Expo and Convention Center. The four competition finalists will have their projects featured at 2010 HD Expo, and the top two juried entries will be presented by a design team member to the HD Conference audience. A real-time vote by the audience will determine the grand prize winner.
“Innovation is the currency of growth and through Radical Innovation in Hospitality, we seek to discover, identify and explore radically innovative concepts,” says Michelle Finn, vice president of Hospitality Design Group, co-founder of the competition.
“Now, more than ever, innovation is going to be the key to shaping a sustainable future for the hospitality design industry,” according to John Hardy, president and CEO of the John Hardy Group, competition co-founder. “As the economy begins its recovery this year, companies will be looking for creative new ways to be financially and environmentally responsible, while delivering unique and memorable hospitality experiences. Radical Innovation will offer a launching pad for innovative designers to start the conversation and connect with the brands who can bring their visions to life.”
