Hospitality design firm HBA has announced its leadership transition formulated by the 11 existing global partners. Co-founder Michael Bedner will serve as chairman of the board, while Ian Carr and Rene Kaerskov have been named co-CEOs. Employed by HBA for more than 15 years, Carr served as president HBA Asia Pacific. Kaerskov, a 20-plus-year veteran of the firm, has been COO since 2009.
In addition, Ilija Karlusic and Andrew Moore are the new co-presidents of HBA Asia Pacific. Other partners completing the new leadership include Inge Moore in London; Connie Puar in Singapore; Alicia Loo, Miguel Baeza, and Kathleen Dauber in Los Angeles; and Mathew Liu in Hong Kong. HBA also has promoted See Ping Wang to principal in the company’s Shanghai office.
