Malka, a Kosher-certified Israeli restaurant from chef Eyal Shani, has unveiled its fourth outpost in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Set in a historic building formerly home to American restaurant and factory Butcher Place, the restaurant preserves its original exterior while the interior takes on an authentic Israeli ambiance.

Designed by architect More Gelfand of Tel Aviv-based Kimmel Eshkolot Architects, the space incorporates bespoke materials sourced from Israel, including Jerusalem stone-like marble and Corten metal.

Concrete is woven throughout the venue—including walls made from 24,000 custom-perforated Ackerstein concrete bricks—to create a modern interpretation of mashrabiya (traditional Mediterranean breeze walls that invite light and air).

At the heart of the experience is the restaurant’s custom open-fire wood-burning grill.

Lush greenery is also abundant throughout the restaurant, highlighted by a Mediterranean-inspired outdoor garden designed by landscape architect Keith Williams of Nievera Williams Design. Featuring an olive tree and breezeway—a signature of West Palm Beach—the garden brings a wild sense of elegance to the space.

“Malka’s new West Palm Beach location was created to be a bridge between Tel Aviv and Palm Beach, where the richness of Israeli design and culture meets the local charm of this vibrant city,” says Gelfand. “Our goal was to create a space that feels both authentic and welcoming, transporting guests to Israel through materials and craftsmanship that tell a story.”

Malka West Palm Beach joins existing locations in Tel Aviv; on New York’s Upper West Side; and in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
