Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel in Maryland has opened just north of downtown Washington, DC. Formerly a Crowne Plaza, the property underwent a $5 million renovation. Results include 229 refurbished guestrooms, outfitted with an oversized work desk, ergonomic chair, and LCD flat panel television. The brand’s signature Link@Sheraton experience transforms the lobby, while 16,000 square feet of function space welcomes meeting and event attendees. Other amenities include a restaurant and lounge, outdoor pool, and fitness center. A Starbucks location will open later this year.
