The Corner Store, From the Team Behind Catch, Opens in Soho

Rockwell Group captures the vibe of old-school New York dining at the new restaurant

The Corner Store, a classic American restaurant from Catch Hospitality Group, is now welcoming diners in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood.

Designed by Rockwell Group, the space conjures a warm, nostalgic feel inspired by old-school New York dining.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a grand 13-seat bar with elegant fluted wood panels painted green and topped in green onyx. An antique mirror, adorned with drawings of Oli—short for Olive—the Corner Store’s signature “martini man” character, serves as the backdrop behind the bar.

A candy-striped upholstered booth acts as a divider between the bar and first dining area.

The central dining room features chevron wood floors, banquette seating upholstered in plush green velvet and leather with diamond tufting, and box-patterned oak tabletops, which adds a vintage feel.

Meanwhile, the main dining room is lined with tufted leather banquettes and custom lamps featuring linen shades. Two skylights framed by high-gloss wood are draped with striped curtains, and walls are lined with red-patterned panels and a collection of vintage New York City photography.

Off the dining room, a 50-seat enclosed glass patio—with bespoke armchairs, branded bistro enamel table tops, and lush greenery—will be open in warmer months.
