Then there is the recently opened Kimpton Kitalay Samui, a resort of 138 guestrooms, suites, and villas sprawled out on double-tiered stilt-suspended platforms. In addition to Choeng Mon Beach views and the Thai spa Pimãanda by HARNN, the design, which weaves in local artwork, repurposed driftwood, and Thai basketry motifs, centers the property in its tropical oceanfront locale.
