Built in 1946, the Colonial-style property in San Diego’s North Park was once a refuge for Hollywood’s A-list including Ava Gardner, Lana Turner, and Bob Hope. This summer, it will celebrate its glamorous past when it reopens thanks to a reimagination from Post Company. Expect the firm’s signature eclectic yet streamlined aesthetic throughout the 141-room hotel, including in the Gutter, a vintage bowling alley-cum-cocktail bar and game room.
