andBeyond Punakha River Lodge, Bhutan
This September, andBeyond is planning to introduce its luxe, rustic lodge concept to the banks of the Mo Chu River in Bhutan. The national flower, the blue poppy, emerges as a recurring motif in the six tented suites and two villas, complete with brass-clad bathtubs. Additional nods to local culture include timber, buoyed with gilded and decorative painted details, and handwoven wool upholstery and linens.
