Six Senses London
Among the terraced, white-painted stucco townhouses of Bayswater in West London is the site of the former Whiteleys, one of the city’s first department stores. In late 2023, it will be home to the Six Senses London (comprising 100 guestrooms and 14 residences). The Art Deco building maintains its original façade, dome, and central courtyard—as well as its staircase redolent of the one at La Scala opera house in Milan—but will be spruced up with reclaimed wood furniture, contemporary British artwork, and a 3,500-square-foot signature wellness retreat.
