Fantastical elements abound at the Baby Grand, CH Projects’ follow-up to the Lafayette Hotel and Club in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood. Arriving in tony Coronado early this year, the Post Company-crafted project will welcome guests with a draped ceiling and a mosaic floor depicting sea creatures. The drama continues in the 31 maximalist guestrooms and three restaurants, including one in a former parking lot transformed into a jungle with palm trees and flowering vines.
