Château de la Commaraine will emerge this year as a luxurious retreat in Pommard village, tucked in the heart of the famed wine region. Dating back to 1112, the château has undergone a four-year renovation from Paris firm Affine Design by Richard Martinet in accordance with architectural heritage protection organization Architectes des Bâtiments de France (ABS). The 37-room property will blend original white stone walls with intricate wooden ceilings and a neutral palette with gold and pink accents.
