What we’re looking forward to: Last year, the first Orient Express hotel turned heads in Rome’s Piazza della Minerva. Now, all eyes are on Venice, where a 15th-century palazzo in Cannaregio has been transformed into the Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli. Once guests arrive via a private boat ride, they are surrounded by such treasures as a 19th-century octagonal staircase. The 47 guestrooms and suites are embellished with velvet and Murano glass.
