The Dorothea merges past and present by restoring and integrating three historic buildings into a cohesive and luxurious 216-room hotel. Serving as the heart of the property, the glass-roofed indoor piazza brings in light, while a central staircase adjacent to the front desk is newly encased in a shell of blue ceramic tiles, inspired by Zsolnay stoneware. Crowning the hotel, an alfresco lounge invites guests to bask in city views while nodding to Budapest’s own cultural evolution.
