The Beachside celebrates the Massachusetts island’s 1960s and ’70s arts and crafts era with a revamp of a motel-style property and five surrounding buildings. Preserving the cedar-shingled façade, the hotel is centered around a courtyard with a pool, lawn, and seating areas and the buzzy lobby, which stars a fireplace, seagrass pendants, and eclectic watercolor paintings and mosaics. Evoking midcentury beach homes, guestrooms are adorned with patchwork quilts, linen headboards, and vintage tapestries for a handcrafted feel.
