Atelier 2019 offers a collection of 66 rugs using dobby and jacquard woven and tufted designs, all of which is done in the studio’s workshop in Massachusetts. Textures in the weaves suggest the Uinta Basin in Colorado, Arrastra Mountain Wilderness in Arizona, the Sahara Desert, volcanic calderas, desert rock formations and the Verbena desert plant. The collection features earthy light colors such as Parchment, Pebble and Natural, contrasted with Saffron yellow, Jasper orange and Walnut.
