Aspen Hospitality has launched Nell Hotels, a new luxury brand inspired by more than three decades of experience at the Little Nell in Aspen.
The brand’s introduction centers on two milestones: the fall 2027 debut of the Nell New York in Rockefeller Center and the Little Nell’s forthcoming renovation.
The Nell New York
Located at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, the Nell New York will be the first and only hotel within the landmark complex. (It will also debut as Manhattan’s sole Relais & Châteaux property.) The 134-room hotel, designed by Rockwell Group, will occupy former office space above Rockefeller Center, where guests will arrive via a seventh-floor lobby.
The Nell New York’s design draws directly from the Art Deco grandeur and architectural ambition of Rockefeller Center itself. Every detail is intended to feel timeless and connected to its setting, honoring New York’s long-standing legacy of craftsmanship and cultural expression.
Continuing a tradition established at the Little Nell, the Nell New York will feature a significant art collection showcasing both emerging and internationally recognized artists from the city and around the world.
Dining at the Nell
The hotel’s amenity program will include an all-day dining venue, lobby bar, and wine lounge. Plus, on the 17th floor, a signature fine dining restaurant will offer expansive views of Midtown Manhattan.
A spa focused on restoring energy and ease will also be part of the offering.
The Little Nell’s renovation plans
While the Nell New York moves toward its opening, the Little Nell in Aspen will temporarily close in April 2027 for a comprehensive renovation. The redesign will enhance guestrooms, public spaces and dining outlets across the property.
The hotel’s weddings program will continue operating throughout the closure, with the wedding deck remaining available for events. The Residences at the Little Nell will also stay open for bookings during the transformation.
The Little Nell is slated to reopen in time for the 2027-2028 winter season.
