Sbe and Accor have revealed plans to further their global expansion with the first Mondrian-branded property in Australia. Developed in partnership with Vitale Projects, Mondrian Gold Coast will span two towers overlooking Burleigh Head Beach. Home to 89 luxury residences and 208 guestrooms, the dual-tower property will designed by Melbourne-based architecture firm Elenberg Fraser, with interiors by Studio Carter. The forthcoming concept, which is situated on a 43,453-square-foot site, will feature a shared three-level podium that houses a fitness center, spa, dining, and swimming pools.
“The Gold Coast has grown into one of Australia’s leading travel destinations and the opening of Mondrian Gold Coast is the next step in our strategic global expansion for the Mondrian brand, selecting communities at the heart of the most exciting cultural destinations in the world,” says sbe COO Chadi Farhat.
Mondrian Gold Coast is one of nine Mondrian properties slated to open by 2022. In addition to the recently opened Mondrian Seoul Itaewon, the Mondrian Shoreditch London is on track to open in 2021, and six more properties will be announced soon.
