New York-based studio Tihany Design has introduced its first-ever managing partner: Alessia Genova. In 2009, Genova joined the 42-year-old practice as an intern. She was later promoted to senior designer and then studio director. In her new role, Genova will oversee studio operations and project development from concept to completion, while also serving as a mentor for the firm’s new generation of designers.
Genova, who is a graduate of Italy’s Politecnico di Milano, has collaborated on the design of the Beverly Hills Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Breakers Palm Beach, as well as crafted dining concepts for esteemed chefs like Thomas Keller and Daniel Boulud. She also played a pivotal role in Tihany Design’s entry into the cruise industry.
