Set against the backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains, Boozehounds, a new restaurant and lounge, has arrived in Palm Springs, California. The dog-friendly space, which spans a main dining, lounge, atrium, and patio, features a design by Raven and the Willow creative director Jenni-Kate Rogers that combines reinterpreted desert themes with midcentury California cool via vintage elements, a contemporary color story, and floral focal points.
“My focus was desert neutrals, lots of textures, natural materials, and round shapes and movement,” Rogers says. “My hope is that it feels elevated and contemporary while also having a large sense of playfulness. The space is huge, and was very dark and industrial, so I really wanted to soften it and brighten it up.” A color palette of terracotta, mustard, and sage defines Boozehounds and creates a seamless transition between the venue’s multiple spaces.
The eclectic indoor-outdoor eatery welcomes visitors with a lounge populated by lush velvet seating that exudes warmth and promotes intimacy. Natural rattan chairs and tables further instill an air of approachability. A mix of communal seating is installed indoors to accommodate larger groups or coworking, while smaller two- and four-tops span the interior along with booth and bar seating. Locally sourced fixtures infuse warmth against a colorful backdrop of playful wallpaper and hand-drawn signage by Jenna Murray.
