Valencia, Spain-based design studio Masquespacio has revealed its design for Pukkel, a new fine dining concept in the Spanish city of Huesca. With an emphasis on natural materials, the design of the restaurant explores the relationship between the city and the salutary lifestyle promoted by the healthy gastronomy.
“We investigated the province of Huesca and started to discover the beauty of the mountains and parks in its surroundings,” says Masquespacio creative director Ana Hernández. “We definitely found the reference we were looking for and that fit perfectly with the healthy lifestyle concept from Pukkel.”
A natural palette infuses familiar earthen tones—from notes of green and brown to hues of white—across the eatery. A touch of gold also accents the overhead space for a dash of sophistication. Imperfect forms reinforce nature as they create circular paths along the terracotta floors. Terracotta also adorns the bars and other curvaceous surfaces across the interior, while ceramic walls are showcased alongside rough stucco that recalls Spain’s mountains and terrain. Abundant flora animates the space with color and fragrance.
