Valencia, Spain-based design studio Masquespacio has unveiled its design of Italian burger concept Bun‘s Bligny location. Conceived to attract younger diners, the new location near Bocconi University conveys a dynamic authenticity that serves as a counterpoint to the vintage and industrial ethos of the restaurant’s other outposts throughout Italy.
Existing architectural details of the revamped storefront are accentuated through the studio’s colorful reimagining. “When we saw the beautiful bricks and arcs from the space, it was evident that we would use these two elements as the starting point of the design,” says Masquespacio creative director Ana Hernández.
New arches cast in green and purple hues were created to establish greater uniformity throughout the 1,500-square-foot space. Gold accents and terrazzo tiles line the eatery to infuse vibrancy, while abundant greenery and wooden tabletops honor Bun’s emphasis on health and commitment to using zero plastic.
Masquespacio is set to partner with Bun again on the designs of several upcoming restaurants, including one in Turin.
