The newly opened Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou in China has introduced a trio of dining destinations crafted by AB Concept: Chinese restaurant Song, a lobby lounge, and the all-day Charm.

Signature restaurant Song

Blending traditional elements and contemporary aesthetics, Song welcomes guests with a striking embroidered green screen, symbolizing the Chinese knot, with a water-veil silk door frame.

A marble archway leads into the main dining area, where verdant green stone and a domed ceiling create a spacious yet intimate atmosphere. Stone mosaics frame the open kitchen, while semi-open booths adorned with arches and delicate osmanthus carvings honor Hangzhou’s official city flower, which has thrived in the region for over 1,600 years.

The restaurant also offers private dining rooms, each themed around one of the Four Arts of Chinese culture—qin (music), qi (chess), shu (calligraphy), and hua (painting)—to provide a unique, immersive experiences.

“Song is not just a restaurant—it’s a journey through the rich heritage of Chinese culture, meticulously woven into every aspect of the design,” says Ed Ng, cofounder of AB Concept.

The 10th-floor lobby lounge evokes the spirit of a grand voyage along the Silk Road. Designed to resemble a ship’s deck, the central platform features vermilion columns adorned with floral lamps that symbolize abundance and joy. Textured walls mimic devilfish skin to represent ocean waves, while lush greenery echoes the surrounding outdoor garden, creating a harmonious flow between the lounge’s interior and the scenic landscape outside.

All-day restaurant Charm

Charm channels the tranquility of its lakeside surroundings with a palette of blue-green tones, natural hues, and golden accents that recalls the fall. Dark wood and marble finishes add sophistication, while green potted plants offer a vibrant contrast.
