Baglioni Hotels & Resorts has expanded its European footprint to the Italian island of Sardinia with the opening of its latest property, Baglioni Resort Sardinia. Located within the protected natural landscape of the Tavolara marina, the Mediterranean retreat boasts nearly 1,100 yards of private white sand beachfront. The setting informs the upscale and contemporary design, crafted by Milan design firm Spagnulo & Partners, that draws inspiration from local vegetation, natural colors, and the textures of Sardinian stone, ceramics, and fabrics.
“Materials, finishings, and colors are, all together, deeply connected to the natural features of this part of the Sardinian coast,” says Federico Spagnulo, senior partner at Spagnulo & Partners. “Our hope is that the guests, thanks to this design approach, will be part of these natural and cultural elements and feel a comfortable link to the soul of this fantastic place.”
Distinctive Italian luxury radiates across the resort’s outdoor amenities, which includes a pool accented by a leafy garden as well as cabanas and loungers positioned to maximize sun exposure. The onsite spa is home to a range of facilities like a Finnish sauna, steam bath, ice fountain, relaxation area, fitness center, two sensory showers, and four treatment cabanas.
F&B options include dual Italian eateries, a pool bar, and the Sunset Terrace Bar as well. Overlooking gardens or the sea, all 78 guestrooms and suites were envisioned to showcase Baglioni’s signature refined elegance alongside modern furnishings—all set against a colorful backdrop that reinforces the beauty of the surrounding scenery.
