Boudoir des Muses, managed by boutique hotel collective ELEGANCIA, has debuted in the Le Marais district of Paris.
The new establishment features 28 rooms (including four suites), a cocktail bar, and bath salons.
Designed by local interior design studio Maison Malapert, Boudoir des Muses stands out with a bold, non-conformist artistic style.
Stepping into Boudoir des Muses
Bathed in soft lighting, the lobby immediately transports guests into another world. A serpent-patterned carpet, representing the Garden of Eden, leads to a marble reception desk topped with a confessional grille.
A couch with soft, sensual curves welcomes guests into this space, which symbolically becomes a purgatory before entering the Boudoir des Muses.
The entertainment atrium
At the heart of the hotel is an atrium topped with a grand glass and steel dome from the Directoire era and surrounded by salons nestled in alcoves. This space serves as an immersive theater for a diverse and eclectic program of authors, musicians, and more.
Adjacent to the atrium, the bar—carved in precious wood with rounded forms—conjures a more intimate environment. The bar is crowned by a fringe chandelier that dramatizes the space with a play of lights.
Spiraling galleries lead to rooms and suites spread across five floors. A graphic black parquet floor enhances the atmosphere of a Marais mansion, while a grand wooden staircase guides guests up to the rooms.
Inside the guestrooms
In contrast to the darker communal spaces, guestrooms are fashioned with minimalist decor, light tones, and organic materials.
Some accommodations feature period wooden columns, showcasing the site’s 18th-century architectural heritage, while others open onto the rooftops of Paris.
Lower level bath salons
Two private bath salons on the property’s lower floors complete the experience—plunging visitors into a uniquely atmospheric setting.
The first bath, carved from ancient stone, offers a pool and a hammam. The second, adorned with emerald green tones, is equipped with a jacuzzi and a sauna.
