Morgans Hotel Group plans to open a Hudson brand hotel location in Philadelphia’s Center City. Locally based DAS Architects will design the boutique property.
“This new hotel will breathe fresh air into the city’s hospitality market, not only providing much-needed rooms and meeting spaces, but exciting food and beverage options as well,” says Dave Shultz, founder of DAS Architects. “We are confident our project will be the best independent hotel in the city.”
Set to open in 2016, the $125 million property will feature the latest architectural advancements, newest technology, and high-end amenities, as well as eco-conscious and sustainable building materials throughout.
The new high-rise property will feature more than 300 guestrooms, including 40 modern executive suites. Its penthouse floor will offer guests and patrons access to an exclusive dining venue with panoramic city views. The property will also include two stories of luxury retail shops, at least one restaurant and bar, as well as special events and meeting facilities.
