The Rosewood Bermuda, previously known as Rosewood Tucker’s Point, has announced that it will close to undergo a $25 million revamp by Seattle-based Dawson Design Associates. The property is slated to reopen in April 2018.
The lobby will be reimagined to resemble a private manor, anchored by retail and a new Conservatory Bar and Lounge. An atrium courtyard will also serve as a public spot to unwind, while the second floor will host enhanced and enlarged meeting spaces. All 92 guestrooms will be transformed into residential-style retreats largely inspired by the indigenous culture and nature of Bermuda. Each accommodation will be appointed with bespoke furniture, contemporary local artwork, and handpicked fabrics that reference regional fauna. Evoking a contemporary reinterpretation of the English colonial heritage of the island, the rooms boast notes of azure blue and local, handmade accessories that complement a soft, neutral palette.
The popular Beach Club will be upgraded with a new restaurant and bar along with chic new cabanas and other furniture. The Golf Clubhouse will also receive updated décor, and see restorations to its Grille Room and a modernized Sul Verde restaurant. Existing restaurant the Island Brasserie will reopen with an informal, vibrant design that includes handpainted murals. New F&B concepts will also include Tucker’s Bar. Sense, A Rosewood Spa will also open along with a new fitness center.
