2021 is shaping up as a landmark year for EDITION Hotels, which recently launched the Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon and will inaugurate four additional properties before the close of the year. The Marriott brand will maintain its momentum in 2022, with the projected opening of four hotels in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and Qatar.
In the heart of the Spanish capital, the 200-room Madrid EDITION is slated for an early 2022 debut. The Madrid EDITION will house five restaurants and bars, including a rooftop terrace and bar. EDITION will also kick off 2022 with an opening in Florida. The Tampa EDITION, the brand’s fifth U.S. property, will occupy a stretch of the 56-acre Water Street Tampa neighborhood. Morris Adjmi Architects, NBWW Architects, and Roman and Williams will partner on the design.
The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai, EDITION’s forthcoming Mexico debut, is now slated to open as part of the luxury Kanai development in mid-2022. The 180-room hotel will accommodate six F&B outlets in addition to a spa and expansive outdoor deck. EDITION will wrap up the year with the launch of the Doha EDITION in West Bay, the Qatari capital’s central business district. Overlooking the Persian Gulf, the hotel will house 200 guestrooms, including 29 suites, as well as five F&B venues, a nightclub, and nearly 10,000 square feet of event space. The hotel tower will also be home to 167 EDITION-branded residences.
