Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park has unveiled refreshed interiors by architecture and design firm KTGY.
The design reimagined the hotel’s 83 Fairmont Gold guestrooms and suites, Fairmont Gold Lounge, Rouge meeting room, and second-floor terrace.
KTGY’s approach reimagines the building’s postmodern architectural style on a more intimate scale, infusing the spaces with inviting colors and understated refinement.
The Fairmont Gold-level accommodations now boast new finishes, furnishings, and carpeting, along with revamped bathrooms featuring walk-in showers and dual vanities that pull inspiration from the nearby park and historic architecture.
The historic Rouge meeting room, once a supper club, has been transformed into the bright and airy Millennium Room. KTGY’s redesign uncovered previously hidden windows and raised the sunken floor, flooding the space with natural light. A refined visual palette and more functional, flexible floorplan enhances the room’s versatility as well.
On the 15th floor, the exclusive Fairmont Gold Lounge has been revitalized with a new seating plan, finishes, and flooring, creating a more inviting and intimate atmosphere. Newly dedicated spaces—like the flex gathering area, library, and lounge—encourage guests to unwind in elegant, residential-style surroundings.
