Auberge Resorts Collection is slated to unveil its next portfolio entry, Hacienda AltaGracia, in November. Nestled among Costa Rica’s Cordillera de Talamanca mountain range, the forthcoming destination will prioritize holistic wellness by offering a mix of ancient and innovative therapies through a partnership with New York-based wellness enterprise the Well. The 180-acre property, which was designed by New York-based Nina Gotlieb, will also highlight the raw beauty of nature.
The resort’s wellbeing-focused amenities will include Casa de Agua, a greenhouse-style pool and therapy room lined with heated stone beds overlooking a lush treetop canopy, and the Well at Hacienda AltaGracia, which will comprise eight treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy tub, and a thermal suite.

Adjacent to the onsite chef’s garden, signature gastronomic concept Grano will host a kitchen that also serves as a culinary laboratory, while the Mercado café will draw upon the surrounding coffee plantation for its menu. Open-fire grill Cienfuegos, poolside eatery Picoteo, and cocktail bar Las Brisas will round out the property’s F&B options.
The property’s hacienda-style casitas will characterized by neutral colorways complemented by textural elements like wood, stone, and organic fibers. Select accommodations will also feature private plunge pools and stone terraces. “The goal was to create an environment that evokes a feeling of having escaped to somewhere truly magical,” Gotlieb says. “I tried to imagine every move through the eyes of a fictionalized brother and sister, having taken over the family compound in order to welcome guests.”
