The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes has emerged from a $30 million renovation led by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA). The comprehensive refresh was focused on accommodations, as well as the property’s luxury pool and club lounge. “The design concept for this project was to capture a sunny Sunday Morning mood,” says HBA Miami partner Cristian Rubio, “a notion that goes beyond a typical ‘homey feel’ to bring in light, comfort, warmth, and colors—creating a space where guests feel relaxed, refreshed, and rested.”
All 582 guestrooms and suites were revamped in homage to the lush natural splendor of the hotel’s setting. Soothing warm colors and plush textures soften the elegant, modern lines of the new chambers. In addition to upholstered wall panels and cut-glass globe pendants suspended from the ceiling, photography animates the interior—infusing the natural movement and stillness of water, sand, and the open sky. Layered stone countertops are accented by cabinets crafted to resemble fishing baskets, and custom furniture, including wooden chairs and chaise lounges, were installed. Bathrooms also feature a sleek aesthetic expressed through a double vanity sink and marble floors.
