Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to launch its ninth property in Greater China and its 17th in Asia with the opening of Rosewood Hangzhou in 2026. Located in the emerging Wangjiang New City, the forthcoming luxury hotel will occupy an 8 million-square-foot mixed-use development in the central business district designed by Büro Ole Scheeren with interiors by Shanghai-based Neri&Hu. “We are extremely excited to be a part of the new Rosewood hotel in Hangzhou,” says Neri&Hu founding partner Lyndon Neri. “Esteemed by emperors, extolled by writers, and admired by artists, Hangzhou has always been close to our hearts and we look forward to launching our first project with Rosewood in this magical city.”
Spread across 16 stories and 270,000 square feet, Rosewood Hangzhou will be home to 140 accommodations including 17 suites. Suite guests will be provided access to the Manor Club executive lounge, while four F&B options will range from an all-day bistro to a Chinese restaurant and specialty bar. A culinary-retail hybrid will also be featured onsite, comprising a flower shop, living room lounge, and patisserie. Wellness facilities will manifest with an indoor pool, hydrotherapy areas, and a fitness center. More than 21,500 square feet of event and meeting space will round out the onsite amenities.
