Songtsam, a luxury boutique hotel collection in the Tibet and Yunnan provinces of China, has debuted its 17th property: Songtsam Lodge Bingzhongluo.
Located in Dongfeng Village of Yunnan, the 45-room lodge also marks Songtsam’s third property near the Three Parallel Rivers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Hengduan Mountains.
Designed in collaboration with Singapore-based architecture firm Studio NvS, Songtsam Lodge Bingzhongluo features local Tibetan design elements, like yellow rammed earth walls and shale sloped roofs.
Guestrooms offer glass terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of wheat fields, the region’s mountain ranges, and the resort’s native gardens.
Restaurant Horizon, led by chef Fang Youjun, offers authentic regional cuisine, while a branded bar, Qunica, is set to open soon.
The lodge also features a Himalayan-inspired wellness experience, a gym with indoor and outdoor spaces, an anaerobic training area, and a pool overlooking the rice paddies.
